i seriously can see the section and the band working hard
in parts that we are not sure of, like today we managed
to get the people to practice the clapping part which i feel
that is very important like wat mrlim said. its seriously
only 4COMBINE! wif mr lim, and we, the band hasn't
get everything right yet as we are not fast enough to take
in the details mr lim said.. please please open ur ears..
and WRITE down the important points wat mr lim said!
and to make urself not forgetting it, SECTIONALS!
AND SECTIONALS!!


please take the initiative to skip your remedials if can to
come for the sectionals, and mayb u can tell your teachers
that u'll repay them after SYF? please try to practice MORE!
and catch up ur friends after syf.. this SYF is really important
to us. and the later generations..

for the details thingy.. i try to say the major stuff mrlim said;

FUNICULI;

#1. bsn and BC.. having the 2 quavers of each bar at B-E,
please be reminded that it is BOUNCY and ends with a tail.
not just cut of like that.
#2. bsn clear tongueing at 6 parts b4 E..
#3. MAJOR DROP OF SOUND at arnd 5bars after D. [Forta-piano]
#4. lower winds.. pls get ur triples clear and concert Eb intune
at 1 bar b4 F.
#5. oboe hear the band's melody and get intune at G.
#6. super clear tongueing from the bsn at G 1st time bar's triples.
#7. super clear tongueing[ACCENTS!] from oboes after bsn
1st time bar triples.. the 2 pairs of triples, last bar of 1st time bar of G.
#8. bsn, Eb is always flat. pitch higher!
#9. bsn solo[2nd time bar of G], pls get in tune, intonation everything.
#10. OBOE solo[arnd H] get intune wif french horns, MELT into their sound!
#11. bass clarinets' triples after clarinets[arnd I].. pls dun rush! make more
spaces at the first note so that it would not sound clumsy and rushy.
#12. 9bars after I.. triples of lower winds.. its a small cresedo.. [pp-p]
and accents! and little notes of quaver are meant to be BOUNCY!
#13. BC and bsn.. at J.. pls rmb its tenuto. and put in more feelings
in every tongueing to make it [espr]
#14. at K, the semiquavers of bsn and BC.. is accents. be precise
although theres still eupho.
#15**. 1bar b4 L, get intune! bsn go slighty flat and decresdo!
[sorry i notsure abt BC and oboe tuning at L]
#16*. oboes, 1st note of M, LISTEN!! major problem.
#17. BC and bsn, cut of ur vol by 50% from M-N go below the sound
of the melodies.
#18. please oboes, MORE feelings in M-N!!
#19. the soli wif flutes[arnd4/5bars b4 N], oboe.. melt under jins' sound (:
#20**. N!! junwei, you're toooo sharp.. tried to pitch lower ok!
and COUNT! NEVER HESITATE!
#21. bsn at 4bars after N, be precise in the staccato to, dun forget.
#22. bsn, listen to baritone at O and tongue properly at the 4th
bar of O, the 5 quavers.
#23. 8 bars of O, a dramatic decresdo suddenly pls.
#24. oboes, play softer and MELT to aluto sax's sound at 5
bars after P.
#25. Q, must sound majestically? ACCENTS, [FF]!
#26. 8 bars after Q, MAJOR drop of sound too!! ACCENTS!
#27. LOOK at mrlim at 10bars after Q!!
#28. 3 bars after R, BC and bsn, same thing, TRIPLES.
#29. 5th bar of R! oboe, same thing too, triples.
#30. S, BC tongueing CLEAR.
#31. never BLAST at the 2nd last bar! ACCENTS!

those in RED are the major problems..
